In just one month's time, Uncharted 4: A Thief's End will officially turn 10 years old. The Naughty Dog title, and its subsequent expansion, The Lost Legacy, stand as the last Uncharted-related projects released on PlayStation hardware, with the studio then releasing The Last of Us Part 2 before beginning work on Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet.
As nice as all that is, Nathan Drake and his band of treasure hunters have been missed deeply, with many wondering if we'll ever see an Uncharted 5 or spin-off title anytime soon. Apparently, that was actually a consideration over at Naughty Dog.
The train gets all the love, but the boat is an epic set piece that spans several levels.
In a new episode of Insider Gaming's weekly podcast, reliable insider Tom Henderson revealed that, prior to COVID, Uncharted 5 was something floated by the first-party studio. In discussing some new rumors involving the franchise, Henderson said the following:
"This isn’t the first time that Naughty Dog have floated with the idea of Uncharted 5. I know there was some planning going on Uncharted 5 before COVID."
That Naughty Dog floated a return to one of its hallmark franchises shouldn't...
