Remember that ancient post about the person whose family member thought Ewan McGregor was Jesus? Not literally, of course, but the post was about how they had framed photos of Obi-Wan from Star Wars: Attack of the Clones in their house, because McGregor's appearance and Jedi robes made him look a little like certain depictions of Jesus Christ.
Well, someone just made a very similar joke about a character from Baldur's Gate 3, and it's managed to upset a whole lot of people - and has turned others against the game studio, Larian. This is all because of a post that jokingly puts Gale forward as another Jesus-lookalike, something Larian responded to with an added gag about how Gale is pretty damn queer. Some people didn't seem to get it.
As you can see, it's all rather tame. Someone else made the joke about Gale being Jesus, and Larian responds with "gaymen" instead of "amen". Get it? Because Gale is fond of gay men, being a bisexual man himself. At least, that was my interpretation of it, and then I moved on with my day.
Others, however, have not moved on at all. I noticed in the replies...
