Playground Reveals Forza Horizon 6's Map, And The "Biggest City" Looks Tiny Compared To Its Surroundings

Last year, during the Tokyo Game Show, Xbox dropped a surprise first look at Forza Horizon 6, confirming rumors that the series was headed to Japan for the first time in its 20-year history. Now, ahead of its launch next month, Playground Games has shared a more detailed look at the game's map, detailing not only the city of Tokyo, but the surrounding region and biomes we'll be cruising through.

Art director Don Aceta recently claimed in an interview with GamesRadar+ that Forza Horizon 6 would boast the "biggest map yet," and we can see that on full display here. Tokyo (i.e. the "biggest city" in the series) is a small grey cluster dwarfed by the labyrinth of roads spiraling out into the country and up to Mount Fuji in the north.

Don't worry, though — the map isn't just an empty sandbox to race around in. Arceta assured that Japan is also the "most full" map to date. "Obviously, we can't go bigger without filling it with things to do and see," he explained. "And I think this map that we've created for Japan, or Horizon's version of Japan, is big, but also dense.
