No Man's Sky Xeno Arena Update Wants You to Catch 'em All | TechRaptor

Hello Games has released a brand new No Man's Sky update, and Xeno Arena should be perfect if you've been yearning for a little more creature-collecting in your space sandbox game.

Xeno Arena follows on from February's Remnant patch and its ensuing smaller updates, and while Remnant brought an honest-to-Gordon gravity gun to No Man's Sky, Xeno Arena is no less transformative in terms of systems.

The big new addition this time around is "turn-based creature battles" in which you can gather creatures from across the universe, "perfect their genetic makeup", then test them against one another in simulated combat. Let's not mince words: it's Pokemon in space.

Creatures have all kinds of different abilities based on where you caught them and what kind of creature they are, and you'll have plenty of opportunities to test the ones you're raising against other players, too. Don't worry, though; the combat is all simulated, so your creatures aren't being harmed.
