Nintendo Switch Online April 2026 NES Haul Brings Three More Retro Classics | TechRaptor

Nintendo has added three new classic NES games to its Nintendo Switch Online subscription service, so you can now check out a port of a classic arcade game, a psychedelic-looking maze adventure, and an old-school dungeon crawler.

Following on from the debut of Virtual Boy titles in March, Nintendo is going back to basics with this month's additions to the Switch Online service. Unlike the Virtual Boy lineup, you won't need an Expansion Pack addon or a fancy device to play these either.

First up, it's the NES-slash-Famicom version of Pac-Man, which is one of the less disastrous home ports of the iconic arcade maze-runner. If you want to play Pac-Man on your Switch or Switch 2, this is probably the best way to experience it outside of the Arcade Archives series.

The next game to be added to Nintendo Switch Online in today's haul is Mendel Palace, the debut title from Pokemon giant Game Freak.

This one is a panel-flipping puzzler complete with a colorful, psychedelic aesthetic. Don't expect the sophistication of Game Freak's later Pokemon RPGs, but this is still a neat little slice of history, so check it out if...
