Marvel Rivals Will Get New PvE Modes This Year

Marvel Rivals is getting more PvE modes this year, as NetEase wants its hero shooter to offer more than just 6v6 PvP.

Guangyun Chen, also known as Guangguang, laid out his ambitions for Marvel Rivals in a new interview with FRVR. Here, Guangguang says that he wants Marvel Rivals to become a "comprehensive Marvel ‘moving anime’ experience" in 2026, with various tie-in events to the MCU.

“We are moving beyond standard 6v6 PvP,” Guangguant tells FRVR. “This includes the expansion into new PvE modes and Path to Doomsday. The event will feature five MCU-related updates inspired by the Infinity Saga, including new game modes and themed content."

From the wording here, it sounds like it's these Infinity Saga events that will give us the PvE modes. That makes sense, as NetEase trialled the mode with Marvel Zombies last year. So, it looks like the devs are using PvE as a way of dropping in story content from different continuities, with the next lot coming from the MCU timeline.
