Baldur's Gate 3 is hard enough, but if you want to make it even harder, you have honour mode. This makes it so you have to play on a single save file, and once your party is wiped out, you have to start from the very beginning.

Of course, this still means your teammates can fall without consequence. As long as you have a single party member alive, you're fine and can resurrect everyone after the fight. So, why don't we make that even harder?

Companion Permadeath from Nexus Mods user NecroticFlame does exactly what it says on the tin. If a companion falls in combat, they are gone for good. Yes, that means they can no longer be revived with items, spells, or through Withers. Other companions can also react to their deaths, and the characters will no longer be involved in any story moments. They're gone for good.

"Without this mod, when companions die, they can be revived by several means," the mod's description reads. "If you do not want them revived, perhaps to commit to their death for role play, you can have Withers 'watch over them' to temporarily remove them from your party.
