The Next God Of War Reportedly Could Be Announced Soon

If Sunday has felt like a whirlwind of gaming news, you're not alone. Between recent reports that Microsoft has decided to internally delay Fable, which could push the title into 2027 if push comes to shove, along with word that motion capture work on Hideo Kojima's Physint will begin soon, things have been hectic.

Here's one more massive bit of info: the next mainline God of War title was set to be announced at some point this month.

In a new episode of Insider Gaming's weekly podcast, reliable insider Tom Henderson revealed that he heard that the next mainline God of War "was due to be announced very soon and in April."

That bit of information came as the Insider Gaming crew discussed rumors of a PlayStation State of Play, and whether that presentation would be entirely focused on third-party games, or if it would also include first-party offerings, which God of War would fit into, as well as Marvel's Wolverine, which Insomniac Games has maintained it will have information on during the "spring."
