After back-to-back Black Ops franchise releases, Call of Duty is going back to the Modern Warfare well for this year's annualized title. It will be the fourth Modern Warfare game in the rebooted version of the original franchise that made Call of Duty what it is today, and if word from typically reliable insider CharlieIntel is to be believed, it's coming in October.
Taking to social media, in response to a Call of Duty insider soliciting predictions for when the next title will release, CharlieIntel revealed that the calendar's 10th month will be the landing spot for Modern Warfare 4.
While Call of Duty has typically claimed November as its annual landing spot, it's understandable that October would be the pick for this year. After all, with Grand Theft Auto 6 targeting a Nov. 19 release date, it's probably best to steer far away from that behemoth.
