We've All Been Using Crimson Desert's Double Jump The Wrong Way

Crimson Desert has a lot of mechanics that the game doesn't tell us about. For instance, did you know that the Sanctum puzzles feature an additional puzzle once purified? Neither did I, until I saw a random tweet. The community has really banded together to discover all the game's secrets, and more recently, some of its mistranslations.

Kliff has the ability to double jump in the game, but I'm sure you may have noticed that it feels a bit fiddly. You can pull it off sometimes or completely whiff it. It turns out that most of us have been using it the wrong way, and it's not really our fault. It seems there's a translation error in the skill's instructions.

As pointed out by MuglokDecrepitusFx on Reddit (via PC Gamer), the English instructions say "Press 'X' twice mid air before landing on the ground to perform an extra jump," which is not actually how the double jump feature works. The Spanish translation for the instructions says, "Just before touching the ground in the air, press 'X'. Use the ground as support to propel yourself back up."
