More details about the next God of War game are being reported, now shedding light on what mythologies it could explore.

According to MP1st, the next God of War game is a spin-off that will indeed feature Faye as the main playable character. It's also claimed that Tyr will be part of the story, possibly as a playable character as well as Faye, and that the story will explore both Chinese and Japanese mythologies.

"We here at MP1st can confirm that East-Asian mythologies will be part of it, as we’ve heard that elements from Chinese and Japanese mythologies will be part of a new entry in the series," the latest report reads. "Having said that, game development is a fickle thing, and as such, things are always subject to change, though we expect those to be present in the final version of the title."

MP1st also highlights a previous leaker, who first made claims about the new God of War game all the way back in 2023. They claim that there will be two playable characters, possibly Faye and Tyr.
