Atari Is Not Surprised By REPLACED's Early Success

April 2026's release calendar is jam-packed with some of the year's most anticipated games.

Capcom started the year strong, and they're looking to continue that hot streak with Pragmata. After years of wishing, we're finally getting a new Tomodachi Life on April 16th for the Nintendo Switch. We also saw the release of Pokémon Champions, which, despite its launch issues, could become a franchise cornerstone.

It's not just the big-name developers out there with anticipated releases. Against all odds, MOUSE: P.I. For Hire Review exceeds the hype. There's another indie darling that's releasing today: REPLACED, from Sad Cat Studios.

We liked what we saw with the game during a hands-on preview back in February. Now that the game's out, the sentiment is that REPLACED is a cinematic masterpiece. Our sister site, TheGamer, said that "anyone who plays Replaced is going to have an enlightening experience." The positive word-of-mouth reception isn't a surprise to the game's publishers, though.
