One of the best things the Nintendo Switch 2 has going for it, without a doubt, is the fact it allows subscribers access to a library of GameCube games.

While the Nintendo GameCube never quite matched the popularity of the PlayStation 2, it remains one of the most beloved consoles of all-time, with Nintendo putting out some of its most iconic video games on the system. If you need proof of just how well-loved GameCube games are, just try and buy a copy of Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door or The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess and see how much it sets you back.

Nintendo Switch Online subscribers with a Switch 2 can access nine classic GameCube games, although we're hoping more will be added over the next few months.

Nintendo recently updated the GameCube Classics app to version 1.6.1, although it's not the most exciting update. While you might have been hoping for a brand-new game, all this small update does is fix an error with an existing title.
