Back in March, noted leaker NateTheHate claimed that a Starfield port for Nintendo Switch 2 remains in active development, though it's hit some real snags along the way. Importantly, this port has never been announced in any official capacity, but Nate's doubled down on it as recently as just a few weeks ago.
Evidence is mounting, as not only does Nate have a strong track record, but international ratings boards are at least comparable—and arguably all the more meaningful. This isn't someone making claims. It's Taiwanese documentation for Switch 2 Starfield action. Let's take a look.
On PlayStation 5, Starfield may have had a slow start this past week. I emphasize may have, because Alinea Analytics is hardly Circana. It gauges all sorts of tidbits, finding hints about games' commercial performance, then tosses those estimates out into the wild. If the 140k opening week proves relatively accurate, however, it's not exactly an epic splash in the proverbial pond.
Depending on how you look at things, this makes a Switch 2 port either all the more pressing, or a possible lost cause. Or, more likely, somewhere in-between. We have no idea how well Bethesda's 2023 space odyssey will perform on...
