Overwatch Season 2 has kicked off, giving us a new hero and some rebalances. However, one of the many new additions that came with Season 2 stuck out more than the others - the ability to talk to the other team through voice chat at the end of a match.
That feature is live now, letting players opt in to a temporary post-match voice chat. Blizzard seemed to hope that this would encourage some positivity, perhaps allowing players to personalise their GGs a bit more than they would in text chat. The glaring problem with this is that text chat isn't always used for GGs. In fact, you're lucky if it is.
Please don't add too many animals to the Overwatch roster...
So, it comes as no surprise to see that post-match voice chat is not being used as intended. Across social media, we're seeing some weird and wonderful accounts of how players are interacting with one another - and a video being shared around that shows just how hostile it can all get.
