Piratical Survival-Crafter Windrose Racks Up 500k Sales in Two Days | TechRaptor

Developer Kraken Express and publisher Pocketpair have announced that their piratical open-world survival-crafter Windrose has crossed a big sales barrier, and it's only taken the game two days to do so.

According to a post on Steam, Windrose has managed to hit a whopping 500,000 sales within its first 48 hours, a milestone that Kraken Express describes as "very humbling". The developer goes on to thank players for their "support and passion" for the game.

The dev also promises that there's another hotfix update coming for the game tomorrow, although there's no indication of exactly what will be addressed in the Steam update. Don't expect it to be a monumental patch, at any rate.

If you're not familiar with Windrose, it's another one of those open-world survival-crafters that are so perennially popular. Think Enshrouded, Valheim, or perhaps even V Rising, although with a different theme, of course.

That theme is, naturally, the Age of Piracy; you'll create your very own pirate and embark on a journey in a world filled with "dark secrets" and "challenging bosses", as Kraken Express tells it. You can tackle this one on your own or alongside your friends, too.
