It can be pretty tricky to properly balance a hero shooter, especially one like Marvel Rivals that has a new character dropping every single month. One of the biggest problems that has been plaguing the game for a few seasons now is the sheer amount of crowd control abilities (also referred to as CC) that players have, and it can feel horrible to get hit with a few one after another.
Not being able to play the game because the enemy team coordinated CC abilities is quite possibly one of the worst things that can happen in Marvel Rivals, so NetEase decided to make some changes to how CC works, starting in the upcoming Season 7.5.
To put it in basic terms, starting next season, every single character in the game will have a system called Tenacity. If a player is hit with either 5.5 seconds of CC, or is hit by 6 CC abilities in a short period of time, all CC effects will be purged from that player, and they'll gain 30 percent Tenacity, which makes CC abilities last for a shorter time.
