Just over a month after Assassin's Creed franchise Head of Content Jean Guesdon officially confirmed the development of Assassin's Creed: Black Flag Resynced, the upcoming next major entry in the AC series has finally reportedly received its official release date as Thursday, July 9th, 2026.
A remake of 2013's Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, the supposed official release date for Resynced was recently unveiled by Insider Gaming Editor-In-Chief Tom Henderson ahead of the game being formally revealed by Ubisoft next week.
According to Henderson, select media and content creators were provided with an early copy of Resynced's roughly 30-minute-long reveal presentation on Thursday, April 16th, which disclosed the remake's summer release date.

Like many previous AC titles, Assassin's Creed: Black Flag Resynced was leaked months ahead of its official confirmation, with information about the game's development being traced all the way back to 2023.
Information about the remake truly began to surface in 2024, when Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot confirmed the development of multiple AC remakes alongside brand-new titles such as Assassin's Creed Shadows and Assassin's Creed: Codename Hexe.
