Though we've seen very little of it, in fact really just a two-minute-long reveal trailer, Gears of War: E-Day, at least from what's being reported, sounds like it's going to be a great experience for fans of the long-standing cover-based third-person shooter.
Thankfully, it won't be too long before we get an extended look at E-Day, the first new mainline Gears of War title since Gears 5 in 2019, as it's been lined up for a specific Direct presentation on June 7 following Xbox's larger Xbox Games Showcase.
However, if you need any more reason to be hyped for Gears of War: E-Day, then allow Cliff Bleszinski, AKA CliffyB, the lead designer of the original Gears trilogy to hype you up. Because, based on a recent interview, it sure sounds like he's ready to see what's been cooking at The Coalition.
In an episode of The Expansion Pass, as first shared by Insider Gaming, Bleszinski was asked directly for his thoughts on the upcoming prequel, and he did not hold back his positivity.
