In the lead-up to Pragmata's release, one of the biggest theories, and hopes depending on who you ask, was that Capcom's newest IP was actually secretly a Mega Man game. After all, Mega Man fans had been waiting eons for a new entry before Dual Override was announced.
The evidence? Well, Diana, the female protagonist, is wearing a similar shade of blue, and there's a lot of pointing and shooting going on. It takes place in the future and there are robots. Pretty sound, right?
Well, it's not, but with Pragmata officially out and fans playing it, they've discovered that there is an in-game Easter Egg dedicated to Mega Man. As first shared by Rockman Corner, Cabin, the robot companion, will, from time to time, show a brief animation of Hugh stylized like Mega Man in true 8-bit fashion.
Mega Man 5 is an original game that not enough people played. Now's your chance to get in on this hidden gem.
It's brief but extremely special.
Given how long it took for Pragmata to go from announcement to release, it allowed for myriad theories to go wild, including that it was a Mega Man game all along....
