Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream might feel like one of Nintendo's more niche titles, but early sales data suggests otherwise. How the latest Nintendo exclusive performed in the UK during its launch week has been revealed, and it's outselling Pokemon Pokopia.
The new Tomodachi Life not only had a better physical UK launch than Pokopia, but its sales were significantly better than the hit Pokemon game. According to The Game Business's Christopher Dring, Living The Dream sold 36 percent better at launch in the UK than Pokopia, although exact numbers haven't been shared.
We'll likely have to wait for Nintendo to share its quarterly figures for an exact idea of how Living The Dream sold at launch, and even then, Nintendo only provides numbers if a game sells more than one million copies. That said, although these early figures are based on one market and only include physical games, they're typically a good barometer of how a game will perform, so it seems likely the new Tomodachi Life will comfortably break the one-million-copies threshold by the end of June.
Living the Dream does have one big advantage over Pokopia that will have helped it sell 36 percent better...
