Kliff Mocap Actor Says Crimson Desert "More Than Makes Up" For Its Bland Story

Crimson Desert has a lot of content. Players have spent hours in the game only to discover a new mechanic, mystery, or exploit over the next hill. There's no doubt that this is one of those games we'll be finding new things in for years. However, if you're looking for a good narrative, you probably won't find it in Pywel.

Kliff isn't the most dynamic character, and even the support cast feels bland. The story is vague and directionless, and you're forced to read pages and pages of lore notes if you want any more information. You may say that FromSoftware's games do the same, but at least the lore you dig up is interesting. Even Kliff's performance capture artist thinks this is true, but says there are a lot of things that make up for it.

In a Reddit post spotted by GamesRadar, Trevor McEwan revealed that he was the mocap actor and reference model for Kliff. He went on to ask fans if they'd be interested in a Reddit AMA, but also answered a few questions in the comments. One player said that fans think the story is mostly "barebones" and asked him what he thought of it....
