Pragmata Sales Have Already Topped 1m, Capcom Announces | TechRaptor

Developer and publisher Capcom has revealed that sales of its latest sci-fi shooter Pragmata have already reached a major milestone, and that the game managed to hit said milestone in just two days.

As revealed in a press release, Pragmata sales have hit one million already, a target the game managed to hit in its first 48 hours on sale. Capcom puts Pragmata's success down to "a range of marketing initiatives", as well as the game's day-one Switch 2 support.

It's heartening to see Pragmata doing so well in the sales stakes. After all, as Capcom itself has already confirmed, the game doesn't belong to any of the publisher's existing franchises, so it's putting paid to the idea that new IPs don't sell well.

If you're not familiar with Pragmata, it's a sci-fi action-adventure game with puzzle elements set on a lunar station overtaken by a rogue AI. Here's hoping that's still a speculative setting in five to ten years, eh?

You'll play as investigator Hugh as he teams up with young android Diana in order to discover what happened to the lunar station in question and, hopefully, to escape with both of their lives intact....
