There aren't too many things people can complain about when it comes to Baldur's Gate 3. While the game is almost perfect, there are some pacing issues when it comes to the third act. This is down to the fact that so many quests culminate in the city of Baldur's Gate, so you're too busy checking them off instead of actually exploring or progressing your main quest.
This could be for several reasons. Perhaps the devs wanted all roads to lead to Baldur's Gate, or perhaps the other two areas of the game were too small to fit the entire quest lines within them. Either way, you'll end up in act three with a laundry list of tasks. It looks like Larian may not have the same issue with Divinity.
Swen Vincke has previously stated that a new engine has been specifically created for the game, which will allow way more freedom that Baldur's Gate 3 ever did. In an interview with Edge magazine (via GamesRadar), technical director Bert van Semmertier has revealed what that freedom could look like.
