Nintendo Switch 2 owners are itching to know what games are coming later this year, as the second half of 2026 is still looking particularly barren. Well, now we know at least one of the games that will help fill the latter half of this year's Nintendo release calendar, as Splatoon Raiders just got a release date.
The Splatoon spinoff got a lengthy new trailer this morning, although if you don't have the Nintendo Today app, you will have missed it. Much like when it revealed the release date for its upcoming Zelda movie, the major Splatoon Raiders update was shared exclusively on the app.
It was there that Nintendo confirmed Splatoon Raiders will be released exclueively on Nintendo Switch 2 on July 23, 2026. There's more than three minutes of new footage of the game which confirms that Raiders will be a single player-only experience. Just in case the new footage alone didn't give that way, Nintendo is sure to make it abundantly clear by the end via a badge that reads, "A single-player focused Splatoon game".
