Upcoming spinoff Splatoon Raiders finally has a release date, and Nintendo has also revealed more information about exactly what the game will be.
In a brand new trailer, Nintendo says that Splatoon Raiders, which was first revealed all the way back in June last year, will be landing exclusively on Switch 2 on July 23rd this year.
Unlike previous Splatoon games, it'll be a "single-player-focused" title. although it's not yet clear whether that means the game will feature a multiplayer mode or whether it'll be for solo players only. Chances are, though, you're better off with Splatoon 3 if you want to play a Splatoon game alongside your buddies.
The new Splatoon Raiders trailer shows the opening moments of the game, including character customization and an introduction to the members of Deep Cut (well, a reintroduction, if you've played Splatoon 3).
In gameplay terms, it looks like Splatoon Raiders will closely resemble the Salmon Run game mode from Splatoon 2, as well as its Splatoon 3 successor Salmon Run Next Wave. You'll blast waves of salmonids, collect treasure, and upgrade yourself to take on tougher challenges.
The closing moments of the trailer show off what appears to...
