Pressure Mounts On Gunzilla Games As More Ex-Employees Accuse Studio Of Not Paying Salaries

NFT-powered battle royale game Off the Grid developer and Game Informer owner Gunzilla Games has been embroiled in controversy over unpaid debts to various contractors.

This began with Talent Acquisition Lead Anna Savina—who, despite her senior position, was not a full-time employee—and animator Paul Creamer, who both accused Gunzilla Games of not paying their respective salaries for months.

This prompted studio head, Vlad Korolev, to respond to this crisis by releasing a lengthy social media post where he rallied against the "haters" and insisted that "some payments may be scheduled in a way that works for the company's cash flow, not always for everyone individually."

Since then, technical animator Akhil Chinnabathini has joined the list of people accusing Gunzilla Games of not paying workers. Chinnabathini claims to have gone unpaid for six months, five of which he actively worked during. He was pushed to action by "posts on X claiming everything is fine, and everyone has been paid," which isn't accurate for his situation.
