Xbox Game Pass to Drop Prices and Lose Day One Call of Duty | TechRaptor

Xbox has announced that it's dropping the prices of two Xbox Game Pass tiers starting from today, but there's some bad news as well: Call of Duty games won't hit the service on day one anymore.

In a post on Xbox Wire, Xbox reveals that it'll be dropping the price of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate from $29.99 a month to $22.99 a month, and that the PC Game Pass tier will also be cheaper, although it's a less dramatic drop in that case ($16.49 per month to $13.99 per month).

This means that both Ultimate and PC will still cost you more than they would have before last October's price hike, but it does remove some of the sting from that increase. Bear in mind that the other console tiers won't be moving in terms of cost.

Presumably as a consequence of Game Pass costing you less, Call of Duty now won't be joining the service on day one. Instead, it'll land on Ultimate and PC Game Pass "about a year" after launch. All Call of Duty games currently available on the service will remain available for members.
