For a while now, it's felt like Xbox has been getting more and more expensive as time has gone by. Not only has the price of consoles gone up, but so has everything else, ranging from its first-party titles, all the way to Xbox Game Pass. You seem to need a deep wallet to be an Xbox fan these days, but in a rare move for Xbox, it has been announced that the price of Xbox Game Pass is dropping.
First announced via a new post on Xbox Wire, it's been revealed that the price of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate is dropping from $29.99 to $22.99 a month, starting today. On top of that, the price of PC Game Pass will also be dropping from $16.49 to $13.99, with prices obviously varying depending on your region.
However, we know that there can be no good news without bad news as well. It was rumored that Call of Duty could be leaving the service earlier this month, but Xbox has now confirmed that — probably in order to actually drop the price — future Call of Duty games will not be coming to Xbox Game Pass on the day of launch.
