Dead by Daylight Developer Has Seemingly Suffered Another Round Of Layoffs

It's been tough for game devs in the industry for the past few years, with layoffs happening at almost every studio regardless of success or financial wellbeing. We've already seen massive developers like Epic, EA, and Ubisoft announce layoffs, with Dead by Daylight developer Behaviour Interactive now being added to the list.

First reported by Eurogamer, a senior animator on Dead by Daylight called Jonathan Veiga recently announced via their Twitter account that they had been "affected by the layoffs from Behaviour" and "didn't think it was going to happen to me." While Behaviour hasn't publicly announced layoffs at the time of writing, this does imply that the layoffs are more widespread than just one person.

Following years of unending mass layoffs, developers are understandably worried about job security and the continued AI push.

That being said, we don't know the severity of the layoffs just yet either. Back in 2024, Behaviour made a sweeping round of layoffs which eventually affected up to 95 total employees, though we have no idea if this new wave is so many.
