Sales analysis firm Circana has released its monthly gaming sales data roundup, and March 2026's data shows that although Resident Evil Requiem put in a strong showing for the month, it can't beat MLB The Show 26.
The baseball sim is the latest entry in the long-running MLB The Show franchise, and given that it launched halfway through the month, its performance is pretty impressive. I guess Americans really do love their baseball, huh?
Resident Evil Requiem is in second place for March, which shouldn't be surprising given its astonishing sales, and third place is occupied by another sports title, namely WWE 2K26. Whether you watch wrestling or not anymore, it looks like it's still popular with a heck of a lot of folks.
Perhaps a little worryingly for Sony and Bungie, extraction shooter Marathon is in fourth place, and it had two weeks longer to carve out a niche for itself than MLB The Show 26 did. Still, Bungie is committing to the game long-term, so it'll be around for a good while yet.
Nintendo's Pokemon Pokopia occupies fifth place, which isn't bad for a single-platform release that's also a spinoff, and sixth place...
