Ecco the Dolphin: Complete Includes Old-School Ecco and a Brand New Game | TechRaptor

Developer A&R Atelier and publisher Sega have announced Ecco the Dolphin: Complete, a "comprehensive new package" that aims both to honor the past of the titular mammal and to bring a brand new game into the fold as well.

We first got wind of Ecco the Dolphin's revival back in May last year (assuming you don't count the Intellivision Amico game supposedly from the original team, of course), and now, we know what that revival will look like.

Per a press release, Ecco the Dolphin: Complete will aim to represent "the complete, definitive Ecco the Dolphin experience", and it'll do so on two fronts: first, by including lots of ways to play the original games, and second, by also including a brand new adventure.

A&R Atelier says that Ecco the Dolphin: Complete will include "all versions" of both the original game and sequel The Tides of Time, "preserved and freely explorable", although it won't include 2000's Ecco the Dolphin: Defender of the Future, presumably due to creator Ed Annunziata's lack of involvement.

In addition to these games, the collection will also include "a brand-new contemporary Ecco game" that A&R says "extends the journey into the modern era". The studio...
