Dragon Ball FighterZ players are convinced that original developer Arc System Works wasn't involved with its newest DLC character, SSJ4 Daima Goku, and a vague statement hasn't helped things.
When Bandai Namco surprised us all with the announcement that Dragon Ball FighterZ was getting its first DLC character in four years with SSJ4 Goku, fans had one big question - was Arc System Works involved? ArcSys has been incredibly busy over the last few years with Strive and Marvel Tokon, so it seemed wild for it to jump back into FighterZ for a single bit of DLC.
Now that Super Saiyan 4 Daima Goku is officially out, FighterZ players are even more convinced that he wasn't developed by the game's original team and was either worked on by Bandai or a newer set of developers at ArcSys. The evidence against SSJ4 Goku was already pretty stacked, and a statement from Arc System Works itself hasn't exactly calmed things down.
While SSJ4 Daima Goku looks like the rest of the FighterZ roster at first glance, players have noticed some slightly off details about him that have caused doubts about Arc System Works' involvement. Twitter user AreCreeps pointed out...
