Black Flag Resynced Leaked Screenshots Are From "Old Internal Version," Ubisoft Says

Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced was the internet's worst-kept secret for quite some time, until suddenly, Ubisoft casually dropped some concept art in an otherwise-unrelated blog post. Now, some few lucky media journalists and influencers have had a chance to sit down with it for a little bit, but we're still waiting until tomorrow for a public look at the big remake.

Time waits for no one, however, and leaks will spring at the weirdest moments. Both a screenshot, and a snapped pic from what appears to have been some kind of trailer, have been making the rounds. Social media responses to them have been rather mixed; the screenshot looks kind of weak, to be frank, but the trailer snap looks a good deal better. Here's the thing...

As GamesRadar picked up, Ubisoft has responded directly to the tweet which went viral over all of this. A rare thing, but a welcome one. The above response is sharp, straightforward, and makes things crystal clear. "Hey! This is footage from an old internal version of the game. It's unfortunate it got out, but the good news is you only have to wait one more day for the official reveal."...
