Developer and publisher Pearl Abyss has released a brand new Crimson Desert update, and it's got new difficulty settings to help you customize your adventure, plus lots more besides.
Three new difficulties, Easy, Normal, and Hard, have been added to Crimson Desert in Update 1.04, and it sounds like you'll be able to switch between them whenever you like, so you can try them out as part of your existing save if you want.
As you'd expect, Easy mode tones down the aggressiveness of your enemies and the damage they deal to you, and it also extends the timing windows for parrying and dodging. Normal is "the difficulty you have been playing so far", while Hard adds extra challenge with tougher and smarter enemies.
As well as these difficulty settings, you'll also find new storage items to help you keep track of your unwieldy inventory, and there are a host of other improvements geared towards making item management easier too, including new stackable items.
New pets have been introduced as part of Crimson Desert Update 1.04, too; you can now keep birds as pets, and there are five new cat types available for you to keep as companions as well....
