Ubisoft has officially announced the Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced release date, and you can expect to revisit the classic pirate adventure with all-new visuals and extra stuff to do in July.
Resynced was one of the industry's worst-kept secrets until it was officially confirmed by Ubisoft at the start of last month, and now, the publisher has released a first look at what you can expect the remade swashbuckling sailing sim to look like (and this is very much a remake, not a remaster).
Admittedly, the first major trailer for Resynced doesn't really feature much in the way of gameplay. Ubisoft itself says at the outset that the trailer features a "mix of work-in-progress gameplay and in-game cinematics", but it's more of a teaser than a full reveal.
As part of Ubisoft's promise to remake Black Flag rather than just remastering it, Resynced won't just feature improved visuals and performance; it'll also have brand new questlines built around familiar faces like Stede Bonnet and Blackbeard.
