If it felt like Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves, the first new entry in the iconic Fatal Fury fighting game franchise since 1999, came and went without much fanfare, then you'd be mostly correct.

Despite featuring renowned soccer player Cristiano Ronaldo as a playable character, plus an entire collaboration with WWE's annual WrestleMania pay-per-view, City of the Wolves sold dismally (CotW maxed out at 4,674 players on Steam and currently sits in the 200s), leading SNK's CEO to transition to a new role.

Victrix's latest leverless stick is one of the best in the market right now.

However, SNK has trudged on, releasing new DLC fighters and continuous updates to the game, hoping that it can reignite interest in an important member in the legacy of fighting games. Its latest update will see City of the Wolves receive a permanent price cut, one that should make it a lot more palatable to those on the fence. It will also coincide with a major free update.

As revealed during the larger Wolves' Destiny trailer, SNK has announced that Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves will now start at $19.99 for its base version.
