Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream has been out for a week now, but if you're anything like me, you're still trying to get your Miis hitched. As if waiting for them to want to propose wasn't hard enough, you then have to walk them through every step of the proposal, with a multi-part minigame required to get them to go through with it.
The minigame involves shooting down unrelated thoughts, so they don't get distracted mid-proposal (or, even worse, say someone else's name). You have three tries, and if you bottle it, your Mii gives up on proposing, and you have to wait until they're in the mood to try again.
However, as some players have now discovered, you might not actually need to beat this minigame to get your Miis married. Turns out, the game can throw you a bone sometimes, and decide that your couples are just so meant to be that they'll get engaged no matter what.
As noted in the Tomodachi Life subreddit, there is a chance that a failed proposal will end in the other Mii proposing anyway - and without the need to complete the minigame at all. There's no word on...
