Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 Sales Hit 8m on First Anniversary | TechRaptor

Smash hit RPG Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 has hit another big sales milestone, which feels like a particularly appropriate way for the game to celebrate its official first anniversary.

That's right: Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 launched exactly a year ago today, and now, developer Sandfall Interactive has announced that the game has managed to sell eight million copies in that time.

The game has been going from strength to strength since release, at least in the sales stakes. It hit half a million sales in 24 hours, going on to rack up two million in under two weeks and hitting the rather auspicious milestone of 3.3 million in its first 33 days.

That's not the only way Sandfall is celebrating Clair Obscur's anniversary, though. A new update was also released today, and it adds new haircuts for the gang, as well as fixing a number of smaller issues.

News of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33's latest sales milestone comes just a few months after the game received a major patch adding a new area to explore, plus lots more. Said patch was first teased last October, when the RPG sailed past the five million sales mark.
