Final Fantasy 14 Is Finally Coming To Nintendo Switch 2

Final Fantasy 14's first FanFest of the year — which is taking place in Anaheim, California this time — was being hyped up pretty well by Yoshi-P a few days before the event. It was for good reason too, as not only was this going to give us news on the long-awaited 8.0 expansion, but news about the distant future of the game as well.

There were plenty of big announcements, such as the name of the expansion being Evercold, the reveal of an Evangelion set of raids, and a bunch of changes coming to the game's systems. However, one of the biggest announcements at the show was the reveal that Final Fantasy 14 will finally be coming to Nintendo systems, as it's coming to the Nintendo Switch 2.

Announced at the end of the Final Fantasy 14 NA FanFest, it was revealed that Final Fantasy 14 will be coming to Switch 2 at some point this August, with an early access period of month set to take place. This is apparently in order to make sure the game's servers don't buckle, and that once early access is over, it will launch on the game properly.
