NIS America has announced that Disgaea Mayhem, the latest spinoff of the popular tactical RPG series, is coming to the West in July, and it's losing none of the series' signature over-the-top fun, either.
First revealed in February, Disgaea Mayhem is landing on PC and consoles on July 23rd, and that includes the Switch 2, although you'll also be able to play it on the original Switch if you prefer.
The game represents a "brand new take on the Disgaea franchise", according to NIS America; it swaps the series' thoughtful (if wacky) tactical battling for a more direct, hands-on action RPG approach, so expect to get stuck into combat rather than directing things from the skies as usual.
You'll play as the mercenary N.A., who must help Princess Tichelle to acquire as much dessert as she possibly can in order to score a massive paycheck. It is, as that summary suggests, a "light-hearted tale", in NIS America's words.
This being Disgaea, you can also look forward to seven different weapons to wield, each of which offers a different playstyle for you to master. Naturally, you can switch between them whenever you like as well, so...
