Yesterday, publisher Random House Worlds and Wizards of the Coast announced a Baldur's Gate 3 prequel novel centered around Astarion's time serving vampire lord Cazador Szarr.
In light of this news, fans have been throwing out all kinds of suggestions for other stories that could be told, expanding on Larian's world and rich cast of characters, and one of these even caught the eye of The Bone Season author Samantha Shannon.
"If BG3 novel tie-ins are now on the table, Larian Studios, can y'all pull [Samantha Shannon] to do one for Shadowheart or Karlach (or Mizora???)," one fan posted on Instagram.
While these posts mention Larian, the studio is not involved in the new range of books.
Shannon replied with an Instagram post of her own, tagging the studio and Del Rey Books, "Listen Larian Studios, I know you're probably only doing the Origin companions as books but please please let me do Minthara. Let me write her meeting with Orin. I'm here!! I'm ready!! I volunteer!!"
