You know what tends to happen when a cannonball hits an enemy soldier? I'll give you a hint: the color red. When Assassin's Creed: Black Flag Resynced's reveal trailer lacked blood at any given point, from cutlass-slashing to Caribbean naval warfare, fans took notice. It was unrealistic, to say the least; what's more, it didn't, well, sync, with the original game.
Fear not, ye hearties. Upon ye final product, there will be blood.
I don't know about you, but I never expected blood to be paid DLC for Black Flag Resynced. But people are wary, and I know that's happened a few times throughout video game history, so it was one of several things which Ubisoft Singapore's Justin Ng—a producer on the remake—took to Twitter to clarify.
The lead remark, of course, is that "there will be blood in the final game." There you have it. Realistic wound fans stay winning and all that. But there's a bit more, actually:
"We hear the feedback on the VFX and audio cues on fight. It's being toned down." -Justin Ng
This is a nice little bonus message, truth be told. There was just too much bombast in that reveal trailer even...
