Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 Gets "Largest Update to Date" | TechRaptor

Paradox and The Chinese Room have released Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2's Spring Update, which the two studios say is the game's "largest update to date", and it's got lots of changes in store.

According to the two studios, the update, which is out now, contains "several quality-of-life features" requested by the Bloodlines 2 community, as well as a big melee combat update that adds something the game should arguably have had from launch.

If you've played Bloodlines 2, you'll know how frustrating it is that your character can't just pick up melee weapons and use them in combat, but now they can, and each of the weapons will "play differently and add alternate utility" to your unarmed attacks. Being unarmed is still advantageous in certain situations, though.

Other combat changes include the ability to attack while you're targeting an ability, as well as a new Guard feature to block enemy attacks. A series of tutorial collectibles are now available to find throughout Bloodlines 2 to help you get used to these new mechanics.
