The announcement of the United Wizards of the Coast union happened across multiple social media posts linking to an official web page. The first news post on this site states that, as of last week, the vast supermajority of eligible workers on Magic: The Gathering Arena have signed union cards and pledged their support for the union. The union was made in affiliation with the Communications Workers of America.
In addition, the post states the union sent a letter earlier this morning to Wizards of the Coast, formally requesting the company voluntarily recognize the union. The letter lays out the value of the union's formation: improving worker well-being, ensuring equity, and creating a healthy work environment.
