Assassin’s Creed Hexe is poised to be one of the most bizarre and unprecedented Assassin’s Creed games—or it was, at least. No details about it at all have been officially confirmed beyond its announcement alongside Assassin’s Creed Infinity, which has since been renamed Animus Hub, but there has apparently been a lot to dissect from its logo, rumors, and leaks in the last several years.
This has included the potential of it being set within the Holy Roman Empire, specifically during witch trials. From there, it was rumored that Assassin’s Creed Hexe’s witch protagonist would be able to control a cat companion and possibly indulge in many other magical abilities via witchcraft. Assuming this was all true, it may no longer be the direction of Assassin’s Creed’s “new flagship title,” and that could result in a long delay.
