Windrose came out of nowhere. Launching in early access on April 14, this open-world pirate game is pulling in impressive figures on Steam, and there's still much more to come.
Now, developer Kraken Express has explained how new content will be released, and we might be in for a bit of a wait. That might not be such a problem, though, as the devs say that they would rather hold off until they have a substantial update, instead of drip-feeding new content in smaller updates.
Earlier today, the Windrose devs released a new blog post, giving us a better idea of what is to come throughout early access. Here, we're told that work on new content will begin once some fixes have been rolled out.
The new content will come to us in a big update that gives us a new biome, the Ashlands. There isn't much more the devs can say at this stage, other than that there will be a lot crammed into this update.
