Fans waited years for Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2, but when it launched last year, it largely disappointed. Met with worse reviews than the original - which launched in an unfinished state before being restored with mods - few were pleased with The Chinese Room's take on the sequel.

However, development has continued, with updates improving the game for those who stuck around. Now, The Chinese Room has dropped the first DLC for Bloodlines 2, expanding the story and giving players a new playable character. The only problem is that this isn't reviewing much better than the base game itself.

"As someone who enjoyed [The Chinese Room]'s Bloodlines 2 somewhat, Loose Cannon is a disappointment," reads one negative review. "There is a lot to love in this DLC, but it feels like a smorgasbord of free samples that have been largely reheated from the main game, none of which stays around long enough to fully enjoy."

That sentiment is shared by many, with others also finding the DLC boring and just too short to justify the $14.99 price tag.
