While worries continue to bubble that GTA 6 might be delayed again, Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick teased that "a lot of people will be calling in sick on November 19."
Of course, these assurances were made again and again ahead of previous delays, so it's understandable that fans are struggling to take them at face value, but what's especially promising this week is a comment highlighted in the most recent Game File newsletter.
Speaking to Variety reporter Jenny Maas, Zelnick said that marketing would begin "soon," though he wouldn't offer a concrete date. It has been almost a year since the last trailer, and fans are starting to get restless, but there's some solid guesswork at what "soon" might mean before we start interrogating moon cycles again.
Typically, big announcements are made ahead of Take-Two earnings calls, and the next one is scheduled for May 21, which certainly qualifies as "soon." There are, of course, fears that a delay could be announced next month, as Rockstar announced it was delaying GTA 6 again on the day of the November 6 earnings call.
