Emma Frost's latest Marvel Rivals skin was a year in the making. Having won a fan vote to get a free Hellfire Gala cosmetic, we were all eagerly awaiting the reveal, and got our hopes up when early artwork of the skin looked stunning. Finally, it seemed that Emma's streak of bad luck when it comes to skins had come to an end.
However, that was not the case. The actual in-game render was revealed last week, and it didn't live up to the artwork at all. Every detail was just... duller. The silhouette was lifeless, and the cape was just abysmal. It looked like she'd chucked a towel on her back and called it a day.
Thankfully, NetEase saw these complaints and has addressed some of them ahead of the skin's release in-game. Now, the cape actually looks a little bit like something a fashionista would wear, and Emma's hair has been dyed platinum blonde. You'll even be able to remove the cape altogether if you don't like it, but you will get a face full of Emma's behind for the whole match if you do so, because of course that's what it looks like from the back....
